ClearView QA

Automated, Repeatable Video Quality Measurement Solution

Campbell, California– September 4, 2008 – Video Clarity, Inc. has a growing customer-base for automated, video QA. The equipment manufacturers want an automated way to ensure the quality of their complex digital encoders & receivers (STB).

Video Clarity has responded to this industry need by enhancing the ClearView product line to include ClearView QA:
  • Capture from HD/SD-SDI, Component, Composite, S-Video, AES-EBU, and Balanced Audio
  • Automatic Alignment against a known “Gold” Sequence
  • Pass/Fail Comparisons against a Threshold
  • Log Pass/Fail Results
  • Scriptable Regression Test Tools
Housed as a 1RU automatic, quantitative video analyzer, ClearView QA records broadcast input and optionally provides adapters for HDMI and DVI. After spatial and temporal alignment with respect to a pre-recorded “Gold” sequence, a Pass/Fail comparison is generated. The results are logged with the saved sequenced. Using the scriptable regression test tools, the entire process is fully automated and sequences that pass can be deleted.

“Video Clarity is committed to making automated video QA a reality,” said Bill Reckwerdt, Vice President of Marketing. “ClearView QA saves valuable man-hours by monitoring the video quality looking for anomalies in either the video or ancillary data (VANC).”

The ClearView product family is modular in features, and is available direct from Video Clarity or one of our partners. For more information, please visit our solutions pages.
