Video Clarity announces ClearView video Analysis System

Campbell, CA., May 30, 2006 - Video Clarity, Inc., a leading provider of video analysis equipment announced that it has released version 3.0 beta of its video analysis. The ClearView video Analysis System is a reliable, format-agnostic, frame accurate video analysis system, which includes capture, analysis and playback of video sequences.

The ClearView video Analysis system imports video content from file in over 40 different compressed and uncompressed formats, or from the video I/O hardware modules, which support DVI, HDMI, HD-SDI, SDI, Component, S-Video and Composite inputs. The data is stored as fully uncompressed 4:2:2 or 4:4:4 data in 8 or 10-bit formats.

The analysis tools include an objective full-reference picture quality analysis module (PSNR currently, but more coming), a subjective toolkit, which supports viewing 2 video sequences in split screen, seamless split, split mirror (butterfly), or A-B modes along with the ability to zoom, jog, shuttle, and pause.

Playout can be either manual or automated with play lists at rates up to 1920x1080P at 120 Hz through the video I/O hardware modules or to file.

"We are very pleased to provide equipment to further video research, with a solution that benefits the entire video assessment environment," said Blake Homan, President, Video Clarity. "The ClearView Video Analysis System provides all of the tools necessary for R&D laboratories around the world."
