ClearView Solutions

Video Clarity provides a suite of system solutions shown below, which take virtually any file or hardware input and lets you compare two video sequences. This is intended for Engineering development and QA test applications in broadcasting, as well as evaluation of display screens, encoders, STB, etc.

In normal operations, ClearView analyzes 3 types of video sequences
  • source or mezzanine (test sequences are provided)
  • processed (compressed)
  • gold standard (the known results)

It scores the processed video sequence relative to the source video sequence using Sarnoff's JND algorithm, which correlates with human viewers 75% of the time based on VQEG research.

It lets you judge the video sequences yourself using many side-by-side viewing modes and pixel tools.

It generates pass/fail results between the processed video and a "gold standard" for QC regression.

It aligns the audio/video between the processed and source sequences to determine the delay and possible lip-sync offset.

ClearView operates in both interactive and batch modes for ease of use.
